CrazyGirl observes going Christmas Crazy

Well, it's been a little while since the last time I posted. Life has been a little crazy, holidays starting, finals happening, and, in true CrazyGirl fashion, trying out some new nail ideas. A friend of mine posted the original picture on my wall, inspiring me and a friend of mine to paint our nails with reindeer. That's right, reindeer. They are pretty much the cutest thing I think I've ever seen. The original picture had the background part of the nail a light yellowish color, we didn't have that, so ours is white. But, still, I can't stop looking at the cute little reindeer (including Rudolph) staring back at me from my hands.
Could you resist that? Hehe. ♥ I just had to share my new addiction with all of you!!

CrazyGirl goes Nail Polish Crazy♥

Ok, like I mentioned before, my friend and I started getting creative with the nail polish. We pulled off the Ninja Turtles, and decided that they had chipped enough that it was time to try something new. We figured every other week was a good time to do a new nail design. This weeks? Cookie Monster♥. That's right! We painted Cookie Monster on our thumbs and did little chocolate chip cookies on the rest of our fingers, because, where would Cookie Monster be without his cookies?
This was our result:
Here are mine!

And here are all three of ours (we had an extra along this time!!)
It took us about 3 hours to do them. I know, I know. It sounds like a LOT of time to spend on nails, but come on!!! They have Cookie Monster on them!! It's soooooo worth 3 hours of my time. Tehe. Hopefully these last longer than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We are trying some new techniques that we are hoping will help them last!!
Until Next Time,

CrazyGirl observes Thanksgiving!

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. ~ Psalm 100: 4-5
Do any of us really think of Thanksgiving that way? I feel like we have all turned Thanksgiving into a day of random celebrations. "It's Thanksgiving! I'm thankful to eat a bunch of turkey!" "Hooray! Black Friday is tomorrow! I can finally get those cute boots!!" "YES! Thanksgiving! That means it's time to decorate for Christmas!" But do any of us really take the time to sit back and think about all the blessings we really have? Do we ever reflect on what we are truly thankful for? And I know there are some of you sitting there thinking "Well, DUH! I'm thankful for turkey!" But, that's not the point. I'm wondering if anyone really reflects back on the year and just starts counting their blessings one-by-one.
This year?
1. A loving family who will always be there for me♥
2. Friends I know I can count on to help me out. ♥
3. The privilege of worshipping my God without fear of going to prison for it. ♥♥
4. A chance for a higher education.
5. The beautiful weather that the fall season brings.
6. The effort to just be me that I've made over the past year.
7. The enjoyment I get out of listening to music, even though I can't carry a tune to save my life.
8. All those privileges that I take for granted everyday (like a heater, a cell phone, my own car, etc.)
9. The new friends I've made this year that make me smile when I'm with them. : )
10. A wonderful job, caring for a wonderful lady who makes me smile! ♥
There are so many other things that I'm blessed with, but if I typed them all out, no one would bother to read this post because it would be too long. . .besides, I probably wouldn't be done typing it 'til this time NEXT year. . .maybe. . .it might be longer. Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and maybe you'll find time to sit back and reflect on your blessings.
'Til next time,

CrazyGirl♥
P.S. FINE! FIIINE!! I'll admit it. . .I'm totally looking forward to getting to listen to Christmas music again! Especially "Last Christmas" by WHAM! Tehe. ♪♫Last Christmas! I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away! This year, to save me from tears! I'll give it to someone special!!♪♫

CrazyGirl observes Ninja Turtles :)

So, anyone who knows me, knows that I have this weird thing with Ninja Turtles. I didn't watch the TV show, and the movie scared me (sorry, but as a little girl, how was I supposed to know that the giant talking rat-guy was actually one of the good guys?) yet, for some weird, odd, bizarre reason I have a thing for them. Don't ask me what "a thing" is...I probably couldn't tell you. It's almost like an obsession...without being obsessed. Haha. My junior year of high school, I cajoled (ok, ok, forced) my friend to wear Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirts to our Sadie Hawkins dance. I'm still in love with it!! :D
Wouldn't you be? :)
Then, I decided that wasn't enough of the Ninja Turtles for me. So, I bought these!!

Aren't they AMAZING? Well, I happen to think so. (By the way, they are SUPER comfy!) So, feeling satisfied with my collection of Ninja Turtles paraphernalia (at least, for the time being) I gladly gave into the urge to wear my AWESOME pajama pants 'til around two in the afternoon on most Saturdays. :)
Anyway, that is all just the background to my story for this evening. My new semi-obsession is doing crazy things with my nails. My friend and I have a TON of ideas on all the things we're gonna paint on our nails. (I'm SUPER excited, by the way!) And, we decided to kick off our nail craze with (shocker here) Ninja Turtle nails! We spent two hours doing my nails and her nails. They lasted less than a week (which was very sad, but we are gonna try again when we have some better techniques.) All of that work was well worth it. Here was our result:
That's mine.

That's both of ours!! :D
It was SO totally worth the effort! Don't worry, we'll show you what else we come up with!! Oh...and just remember, it's a sad day when you chip a nail:
Man down. :'(

Well, until the next time,

CrazyGirl observes Disney♥

Before you start going "Oh. My. Word. She really is crazy. . ." just hear me out. Ok? Pretty much, I was talking with some friends tonight, about Disney movies. (Which, by the way, I am a HUGE fan of!!) But, we were discussing how Disney gives you unreal expectations. I mean, come on!! I was SO disappointed to learn that my parents did NOT sing when they met. Um, hello people. . . EVERY Disney princess sings. Every. Single. One.
Also, why are there NO guys who are quite like one of the Disney princes??? I don't know a guy who will break into song with you or for you. I don't think I've ever met a guy who says he is in love with you after like. . . .two days. AND, I don't think I've EVER (in my entire life) heard a guy saying that he wants to be a Disney prince. Yet, almost every little girl dreams of being a Disney princess. Why is that?!?
The problem with me is (living up to my CrazyGirl title) that even though it seems HIGHLY unlikely that my life will end just like a Disney movie, I can't help but hold onto that belief that fairy tales DO come true. That somewhere out there, my Prince Charming is waiting to sweep me off my feet. No matter how many times it seems impossible for me to find my own fairy tale, it still remains something I believe in. It's like I can't help but believe in it. Because, if I couldn't believe that I had a fairy tale waiting for me, I might just have to give up on the male population forever. . . .which (of course) I CANNOT do!
Love,

CrazyGirl observes her noncraziness.

So, last night when I was posting about going "Stir Crazy," I said something about noticing that a patch of texture on the wall looks kinda like Amelia Bedilia. I'm not crazy. It does. Look at this normal looking piece of wall:
Seems normal enough, right? But, if you look REALLY closely at it Amelia Bedilia is there. She's waiting for you to find her. I promise. Still not convinced? Well, look at this with color added:

Yup. She's there. I told you. I'm NOT crazy!! I just have WAAAAYY too much time on my hands.

Other than noticing the random children's book characters in the texture on the wall, I don't know that I have anything really truly interesting to post. I mean, I could launch into some big long lecture on how finding Amelia Bedilia in the wall texture means that whoever textured the walls was trying to send me some subliminal message, how he was trying to tell me something. But, honestly....I don't think he did it on purpose. That would take a lot of skill....
'Til my next crazy thought,

CrazyGirl observes Stir Craziness

Well, last Thursday I was planning on coming home from school and writing to all of you about some grand scheme or another. Instead I ended up getting my appendix removed (not exactly what I had planned for the evening), which interrupted my blogging.
I figured that now, after resting up for a few days, it was time to come back! I needed to let you know that I now fully understand the term "stir crazy." It doesn't just mean feeling slightly restless, or wanting to get up and do something, anything but what you're doing at the moment. Oh no! "Stir crazy" is a lot more complicated than that.
First off, you should understand that being "stir crazy" is a result of being confined to a certain area (usually not outdoors) and having no control over that. Restlessness (while not "stir crazy" in it's entirety), is the first symptom of this horrid disease. Next comes the "twitchies." (I don't actually have an official word for it....) The "twitchies" are that point in time where you are conscious of your restlessness and so begin randomly moving your toes or legs or fingers or hands, just constantly moving some part of yourself to keep your mind off being restless. The problem with the "twitchies" is that instead of giving you something to think about besides being restless, they just make you all the more aware of your restlessness. Following this stage is the wandering mind. You can be watching a movie, reading a book, or texting a friend, but no matter how interesting the subject at hand, your mind just wanders aimlessly. (Mine sometimes does this anyway...but I try to bring it back most of the time. Key word there: most.) You could be watching your all time favorite movie, loving every second of it, then all of a sudden, you are in your own little world, and your favorite movie is over...except that the last part you saw was only ten minutes in. The last and final symptom of going "stir crazy" is the part that puts the "crazy" into "stir crazy. When you are sitting there, watching your favorite TV show, and your mind starts wandering, well, that's bad enough, but it's when your mind wanders to the weirdest places that you know you've got it bad. If you start thinking thoughts like "Hmmm...I wonder why I never noticed that the blotch on the wall texture looks like Amelia Bedilia..." or "Wow! I never knew that if you stared at the ceiling fan long enough it started to look like it was moving backwards." or even "Whoa! If I hold my ring here, and focus on it, I can't focus on the TV, but if I focus on the TV I can't focus on my ring!" (and then proceed to switch back and forth between focusing on your ring and the TV thus leaving you in awe) these are the instances that will leave you 100% positive that you have gone officially "stir crazy."
Note: Stir crazy is not a disease that requires doctor's help. Usually this ailment can be cured by taking a walk, having someone visit, or simply sitting outdoors for a little while.
Your Friend,
CrazyGirl♥

P.S. If you get REALLY creative with the ring thing, you can leave one part of the ring in focus, and other parts out, like so:

Introducing the Crazy Girl blog.

So, this past Valentine's day, I made a vow that I would make one post per day. Every. Single. Day. For an entire year. As you may have guessed, that didn't quite happen. Let's just say that life got in the way.
Anyways, I decided, after much thought, to create a new blog with a new purpose, and not promise you all that I would post every single day. I figured that instead of trying to create a crazy story out of every day, I would simply observe. And thus was born the Observations of a Crazy Girl blog. It gives me a chance to share with all of you the random thought process I live by. It also allows me to share with you my random ponderings about random stuff. (Those happen quite often.) Another difference between the Observations of a Crazy Girl and the Teen Scene blogs is the recent addition of adding pictures. This, to me, seems like a good way to make it easier for you to picture just what it is that I'm describing, since sometimes I don't even make sense to myself. Hehe. I hope you all enjoy my new blog.
Til Next Time,

CrazyGirl♥
